Shipping Terms:

  • The US Postal Service is the primary shipping carrier for outbound parcels.
    Shipping charges are per the published USPS shipping rates for Domestic & International destinations.

  • UPS & FedEx Ground are undesirable carriers unless the shipment weight requires a more economical solution.

  • Any and all shipping charges both to and from OLDjOE INFIRMARY LLC (O.J.I) are the financial responsibility of the customer unless otherwise authorized in advance.

  • It is encouraged that all items shipped out of O.J.I are shipped via traceable means.

  • For all Domestic US orders the additional cost for delivery confirmation traceability is automatically included on all outgoing purchases.

  • Any items being shipped outside of the USA will be charged at the actual shipping/insurance (as applicable) cost specific to the destination (per the USPS International Postal rates), plus a nominal $.75 handling fee.

  • Items shipped outside the US without the benefit of tracking (as with EMS) are the sole responsibility of the customer.

  • Insurance coverage DOES NOT apply to lost parcels which travel without package tracking.

  • When parcels are shipped outside of the US with insurance but without package tracking the insurance will only apply to goods damaged in transit and NOT for package loss since we have no way to verify the lost package in the absence of package tracking.


Payment Terms:
  • Accepted forms of payment are Cashier Check, Money Order, Visa/Master Card/Discover/AMEX/Discover (domestic), or International Money Order or Visa/Master Card/Discover/AMEX/Discover (non-US)

  • Please make your payments, (Money Orders or Cashiers Checks or Convenient Visa/Master Card/AMEX/Discover), payable to The OLDjOE Infirmary, or OJI.


Our Guarantees & Policies:
Restorations/Remedy:
  • Once the customer's detailed descriptions of the repairs needed/expected are sent into the O.J.I (in writing, via e-mail or fax), a refined quote will be made back to the customer in writing. This quote will include a detailed description of what the repair entails, and what the expected best case and worst case results will be. In the case where the items to be repaired arrive in worse condition than previously described by the customer, a re-quote will be issued to the customer for approval prior to commencing the repairs.

  • The customer is entitled to complete restitution if not satisfied that the work was completed as previously discussed in the refined quote (restitution in the form of additional repair or some level of refund or exchange).

  • The OLDjOE Infirmary definitely understands how precious these items are to you and will treat them accordingly!


Replacement & Returns Remedy:
  • Our goal is to ship 100% of our orders quickly, efficiently, and correctly to our customers. Our intention is that you receive goods that are just as described in our advertisements (slight variations in material color may occur). Because this is a human operation human errors will occur though.

  • Our secondary goal is to handle our errors in an efficient manner that will allow us to understand the error and remedy the problem(s) as follows;

  • Any and All returns must be pre-authorized by OJI either by telephone or email.

  • All item returns must be made within 10 days of receipt of the merchandise.

  • OJI will pay the freight in both directions if you receive your order and find that we have made a mistake and sent the wrong item(s).

  • In the event that we catch our error prior to the delivery of the parcel (while it is in route) we will contact the customer and ask them to decline the parcel and have it “returned to the sender” so we can remedy the problem with the order that was shipped incorrectly.

  • If a product arrives and is defective we will ship a replacement to you at our expense upon return of the defective product to OJI. However, at times we may employ the help of the manufacturer to remedy defect issues directly, in which case the replacement would come directly from the manufacturer and they may require the defect be mailed back to them directly.

  • The products being returned for refund must be in the original packaging with all original pieces present.

  • The ORIGINAL transaction receipt must accompany the items being returned for refund.

  • Special orders involving custom configurations are not eligible for any refund guarantee and those transactions are final.

  • Insurance is completely optional and at the customer's digression at the time they place their order. If an order is shipped to a customer without the benefit of insurance then any loss or damage that occurs to the products is completely the sole responsibility of the customer and OJI will not be held responsible.

  • If a product is damaged in transit, we will claim insurance from the shipper. We must make our insurance claims expeditiously. If you allow 10 days or more time to elapse before making a damaged shipment known to us you will preclude our ability to make an insurance claim and your return will not be accepted.


Exchanges:
  • OJI does not offer exchanges unless the product you received is damaged or you received the wrong product.

  • We will make an exchange if the product is broken in transit so long as you purchased insurance.

  • We will make an exchange if the wrong product was shipped to you in error.

  • We will exchange the broken product for the same product un-broken.

  • We will not make an exchange if you found it cheaper elsewhere.

  • We will not make an exchange if you received it and it just wasn’t what you expected.

  • We will not make an exchange if you received it but you had already been given one as a gift before it arrived.


Cancellations:
  • All sales are considered final from the point the customer presses the "Proceed" button at the bottom of the "Billing & Shipping" information entry from.

  • If a cancellation is initiated by the customer a 15% restocking charge will be deducted from the customer's refunded total.

  • The only exception to this is when the cancellation is due to an O.J.I backorder issue and the customer does not want to wait for the replenishment.


Bad Manners:
  • O.J.I is a privately owned, operated, and run business.

  • We are not a big corporation with nameless faceless contacts.

  • We are a company of real people with real feelings and emotions.

  • If a customer should decide to exercise their right to be rude and abusive then we at O.J.I will exercise our right to refuse service to the customer and ban them from the benefits of shopping with O.J.I for any future transactions.
